The two commands (start here)
Command 1 — connect the two. Inside Claude Code, type:
This takes you to a login screen that links Claude Code with Claude Design. One-time job.
Command 2 — sync your work. When you've been working on designs in Claude Code and want them back in the Claude Design interface, type:
That creates the two-way sync — changes flow in both directions.
How the sync works
- Claude Design → Claude Code — pull a design in and have Claude Code refine it, wire it up, or batch-produce variations.
- Claude Code → Claude Design — push your work back and polish it visually in the Design interface, where clicking and tweaking is easier than describing.
- Round-trip — you're never locked into one side. Draft where drafting is easy, refine where refining is easy.
What to build with it first
- Slide decks — brief Claude Code on the content, sync to Design to polish the look.
- Branded PDFs — lead magnets, client resources, proposals in your brand.
- Animations — yes, even animated pieces round-trip through the sync.
Good first test
Take a deck you already have, run /design sync, and ask Claude Code for three alternative layouts. Ten minutes, and you'll understand the whole workflow.
