Where to get the source material
- Podcasts — most shows publish transcripts; otherwise paste the episode link and ask your AI to summarise the founder's key points.
- YouTube — open a talk or interview, hit the three dots → "Show transcript", copy the lot.
- Quotes and blogs — anywhere they've been featured or written. Their own newsletter is gold.
- More material = better mentor. Two or three long transcripts beats ten one-liner quotes.
Choosing your mentors
Pick founders a few steps ahead of you in your actual problem — not just whoever's loudest online. Scaling a service business? Choose someone who's done that, not a venture-backed tech founder.
Run a board, not a guru
Set up two or three mentors in separate chats and put the same decision to each. Where they disagree is usually where your real decision lives.
