Run your whole content week from one chat

Connect Blotato to Claude and you can ask for your Instagram numbers, turn a reel into three Threads posts, and publish to every platform without opening a single app. This is the setup and the exact prompts I use — I'm a one-person team publishing 150+ pieces a month on this.

Give Claude the keys to your social accounts

Blotato plugs into Claude as a connector. Once it's in, you ask for your Instagram numbers in plain English, turn one reel into three Threads posts, and publish to every platform without touching an app.

What's inside

Blotato is a publishing tool — it holds the connections to your Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads and YouTube, and posts on your behalf. The good bit is that it also exposes itself as a connector, which means Claude can drive it for you. You talk, Claude does the clicking.

Set up your Blotato account first at blotato.com and connect your social accounts inside it. Then come back to Claude and do this.

1

Open Claude and hit the plus

The + button next to the message box. Same one you'd use to attach a file.

2

Go to Connectors

In the menu that opens, choose Connectors.

3

Manage connectors

Click Manage connectors. This drops you into the full list of things Claude can be wired into.

4

Add Blotato

Find Blotato, hit add, and authorise it with your Blotato account. It'll bounce you out to log in and straight back again.

5

Check it took

Back in the chat, paste the prompt below. If Claude lists your accounts, you're connected and you can stop fiddling.

Using the Blotato connector, list every social account I have connected — platform, handle, and whether it's currently active. If you can't reach Blotato, tell me exactly what's failing rather than guessing.

Can't see Connectors?

Two usual culprits. One: you're on an old version of the app — quit it fully and reopen, or use Claude in the browser. Two: connectors aren't available on every plan, so check what yours includes. If the menu is there but Blotato isn't in the list, add it as a custom connector using the MCP URL from your Blotato account settings.

These are the three I actually run. Everything else I do with Blotato is a variation on one of them. Paste them straight in — Claude works out which Blotato tools to call.

1

Your Instagram numbers, in English

This is the one that changed my content strategy. Not a dashboard full of charts — a straight answer to "what's working and what should I make more of".

Using Blotato, pull my Instagram analytics for the last 7 days. Then give me, in plain English: 1. My top 3 posts by saves and by shares (not by likes — likes are the least useful number here) 2. My bottom 3, and your best guess at why they underperformed 3. What the top 3 have in common — topic, hook style, format, length, posting time 4. Three specific things I should make more of next week, based only on what this data actually shows 5. Anything in the data you'd flag as a fluke rather than a pattern — be honest, 7 days is a small sample Don't pad it with generic social media advice. Only tell me things that come out of my numbers.
2

Turn a reel into Threads posts

You already did the thinking when you filmed it. This gets three more posts out of that same thinking without you writing anything from scratch.

Using Blotato, grab my most recent Instagram reel, transcribe it, and then write me 3 Threads posts from the transcript. Rules for the posts: - Each one takes a DIFFERENT angle from the video. Not three rewrites of the same point. - First line has to work as a standalone hook — no "here's a thread about". - Under 300 characters each. Threads rewards short. - Plain language. No emoji, no hashtags, no "unpopular opinion". - Sound like me: [DESCRIBE YOUR VOICE IN ONE LINE — E.G. DIRECT, WARM, A BIT FUNNY, AUSTRALIAN SPELLING] Show me the transcript first so I can check it heard me correctly, then the 3 posts.
3

Publish everywhere at once

The one that saves the most time and needs the most care. Note the approval line at the bottom — leave it in.

Using Blotato, take these videos: [DROP YOUR FILES OR NAME THE FOLDER] For each one: 1. Transcribe it 2. Write a caption tailored to each platform — Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads. Different lengths and different registers, not the same caption pasted six times. LinkedIn gets context and a takeaway; TikTok gets a hook and nothing else. 3. Add the right hashtags per platform, or none where none is better 4. Schedule them across the next [NUMBER] days, one per day, at [YOUR BEST POSTING TIME] in [YOUR TIMEZONE] IMPORTANT: show me the full schedule — every caption, every platform, every date and time — and wait for me to say go before you publish or schedule anything.

Keep that last line

"Wait for me to say go" is the difference between a good morning and a very bad one. One wrong caption goes out to six platforms simultaneously, and you can't unsend a LinkedIn post from a client's feed.

Sabrina Ramonov built a set of seven Claude skills for running social media, and she's given them away. A skill is just a folder of instructions Claude reads before it starts — so instead of you re-explaining your brand every time, Claude already knows the job.

Grab them from Blotato's help docs. Her write-up on how they fit together is at sabrina.dev.

brand-brief

Interviews you once about your business and your voice, then every other skill reads from it. Do this one first or the rest will guess.

post-writer

Writes the actual posts, using the brand brief so it sounds like you rather than like a marketing agency.

post-grader

The sleeper hit. Scores a draft and lists the top fixes. Hook strength carries half the score, which is about right.

viral-hooks

A library of proven hook frameworks. Use it when you've got the idea and the first line is refusing to arrive.

content-coach

Ideation. What to make, based on what you're actually trying to sell rather than what's trending.

repurpose + post-scheduler

One long piece into many short ones, then out the door via Blotato.

Installing them: in Claude Code or Claude Desktop, unzip the download and drop the skill folders into ~/.claude/skills/, then restart. For claude.ai and Cowork, upload each SKILL.md file one at a time under Customize → Skills → Add → Upload a skill.

Run the brand-brief skill on me. Before you start asking questions, here's what you're working with: BUSINESS: [WHAT YOU DO AND WHO FOR] WHAT I SELL: [YOUR OFFERS AND ROUGH PRICES] WHO I'M TALKING TO: [YOUR AUDIENCE — BE SPECIFIC, NOT "SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS"] HOW I SOUND: [THREE WORDS, PLUS ONE PHRASE I'D NEVER SAY] WHAT I WILL NOT POST ABOUT: [YOUR NO-GO LIST] Interview me properly to fill in the gaps — ask one question at a time, don't fire ten at once. When you're done, save the brief so the other skills can read it.

Order of operations

brand-brief → content-coach → post-writer → post-grader → publish. Skipping straight to post-writer is why people say "the output sounds generic". It sounds generic because you never told it who you are.

I'm a one-person team publishing over 150 pieces of content a month. This is the loop, not a fantasy version of it. Two proper sittings a week and a lot of small approvals in between.

1

Monday — ask what happened

Analytics prompt. Ten minutes. I find out what got saved and shared rather than what got liked, and that decides what I film.

2

Tuesday — film in one batch

All the videos in one sitting, one outfit, one setup. Batching is what actually buys back the time — the software just stops me losing the afternoon afterwards.

3

Wednesday — transcribe, caption, schedule

Bulk-publish prompt. Claude transcribes everything, writes per-platform captions, shows me the whole schedule. I read it properly, fix two captions, say go.

4

Thursday — squeeze the text out

Reel-to-Threads prompt on the best two videos. That's six text posts from work I'd already done.

Using Blotato, give me my Monday content review. 1. Pull last week's performance across every connected platform 2. Compare it to the week before — what moved, up or down 3. Tell me which single piece of content earned the most saves and shares, and what specifically made it work 4. Based only on that, give me 5 content ideas for this week's filming batch. Each one: the hook, the one point it makes, and which platform it's really for. 5. Flag anything I posted that flopped hard enough to be worth learning from Be honest with me. If it was a flat week, say it was a flat week — I'd rather know than be managed.

The tool isn't the strategy

Blotato distributes. It doesn't decide what's worth saying. My numbers moved because I started making more of what the analytics said people were saving — the software just meant I stopped losing whole afternoons to uploading.

I use this daily and I'd recommend it to a friend. Here's everything I'd tell that friend before she signed up.

It's a paid tool, and that's my affiliate link

Blotato isn't free — check the current pricing at blotato.com before you commit, because plans and limits change. My link is an affiliate link: it costs you nothing extra and it pays me a bit if you subscribe. I'd be using it either way, but you deserve to know which links have money attached.

Always read before you approve

Bulk publishing is the best feature and the riskiest one. Claude will occasionally write a caption that's fine for TikTok and slightly unhinged for LinkedIn. Read the schedule properly every single time. It takes two minutes and saves you an apology.

Instagram analytics depend on the platform, not on Blotato

You need a business or creator account connected properly, and you only get what Instagram's API is willing to hand over. If a number looks missing, it's usually the platform holding it back rather than the tool failing. Seven days is also a small window — don't rebuild your entire strategy on one quiet week.

The free skills work without Blotato — mostly

Six of the seven skills are pure writing and thinking, so they work whether or not you ever pay for anything. Only post-scheduler needs Blotato connected, and without it, it just writes the post to a file for you to paste manually. Worth knowing if you want to try the skills before spending money.

Transcription isn't perfect

It's good, not flawless — accents, names and product names get mangled. That's why the reel-to-Threads prompt asks to see the transcript first. Give it ten seconds of your attention before it becomes six posts built on a misheard word.
